North Vancouver, British Columbia - April 30, 2014 - OnPayroll.ca Canada is please to announce the recent addition to its services, what is referred to as an Administrative Services Organization (ASO). The ASO complements the existing Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services. The primary difference between an ASO and a PEO (also known as Employer of Record) is the employment relationship. With the ASO service, it is the client that is the legal employer. The client works with the ASO to provide all of the administrative services that they would receive under a PEO, but the client retains the legal responsibility for and the relationship with the employees.  OnPayroll.ca Canada's ASO solution is ideal for companies looking to establish representation in Canada, but who don’t need the full offerings of a PEO.

Similar to OnPayroll.ca Canada's service bureau operations, the PEO and ASO clients are largely U.S. and Internationally based.  The PEO solution is ideal for companies looking to hire talent in Canada, but who don’t have an entity in Canada. The attraction is that the client retains the relationship with the employee(s) but the legal responsibility and HR administration for the employee(s) is assumed by the PEO.  What this means is that clients do not have to work with the various Government authorities at the Federal and Provincial level and they do not have to deal with Worker’s Compensation registration. With the ASO, the client is responsible for the government registrations, but once established, can have these administered by the ASO to collect and remit premiums as well as the required reporting.
